Oh yea its going to be a long night

Welcome to the Camp Gallery. Where the sun is warm (hopefully) and the scenery is "Primo". Some of our favorite sand camps are Sand Mountain and Pismo Beach (ok it's now again called "Oceano") but we'll always refer to it as Pismo. Both of which we do about four to five times a year. I've been enjoying Pismo since I was in high school, and slowly but surely the groups been growing. Its seems anyone we take automatically becomes obsessed with the place, those of you that have been there know what I'm talking about. Beautiful ocean, beautiful sand dunes, beautiful weather, Great looking scenery ... uh yea, the rigs are great too. We run the rigs during the day and then usually take a dinner break. Then everyone, and I mean everyone on the beach heads out to Comp-hill for the night time festivities. This is my favorite time to "wheel". We usually sit around the campfire waiting for everyone to finish dinner, till I can't stand it anymore, and were off, deep into the Dunes. Sand Mountain is pretty much the same ordeal, except Its basically one huge Mountain with a lot of smaller dunes around its base. Yea its a little smaller of an area, and there is no ocean, but just the awesomeness of the size and steepness of the thing leaves you in sheer awe. Yes it's defiantly a challenge to make it to the top, and talk about a (as we call it) "Pucker Factor" when you lop over its knife blade crest. You had better have a quad, rail or other light vehicle, or a whole lot of horse power if your plans include such events. One of the advantages is for those of you that would rather, you can basically break out the lawn chairs, sit right at camp with beer or soda in hand, and watch most of the fanatics. Yes both places do get a little crazy, but that's why we go.
